The few write-ups I've come across describe the Passmore Sisters as sounding like an "angry Housemartins", and, although I can hear the Housemartins comparisons in their earnest , cultured harmonies and upbeat melodies, they don't sound particularly angry. A tad more revved up, a little rougher around the edges, maybe. Altogether great jangle-pop from a sadly bygone era.
